![]() Bangor host a youthful Manchester United side in a pre season friendly which is illuminated by a glorious strike from John Cofie which crashes into the Farrar End goal. City beat Llanelli 3-2 in the WP. Work begins at Nantporth. |
September 2011 |
The month begins with a 4-1 defeat of Afan Lido at Farrar
Road and is closely followed by a 4-2 win at Airbus. However the mood
is dampened by a 3-0 home loss to TNS who ride their luck - and some
poor finishing - to record a flattering win. City end the month with a 4-0 win over a very poor Newtown. |
October 2011 |
![]() City end the month with a 2-0 televised win at Aberystwyth who have goalkeeper Stephen Cann red carded in the opening stages. Llanelli beat Bangor at Stebonheath in the Welsh Premier.. Goalkeeper Lee Idzi in the Welsh Premier Player of The Month for October 2011. |

City beat Prestatyn 5-3 in an end to end thriller played before a crowd of 2500+. Nev Powell is the December 2011 Manager of The Month |
January 2012 |
The
new year began with a cavalier 5-0 drubbing of Prestatyn at Bastion
Gardens. With no further league matches to play attention drifted to goalkeeper Lee Idzi who decided to stay with Bangor rather than move to Australia. Paul Smith left the club so too Shaun Pejic who got married and moved to America. The new ground at Nantporth was said to be just about finished. |
February 2012 |
![]() On 24th January 2012 the first fixture was played, a 6-1 win over Caernarfon Wanderers in the NWCFA Cup. A crowd of 1280 saw Chris Jones score the first ever goal at the new ground. News quickly followed that midfieder Mike Walsh had departed for Aberystwyth whilst 'keeper Kyle Clancy had signed from Barrow. After three straight league wins City again struggle with a draw and then a 5-1 defeat to Newtown in the Loosemores Cup. |
March 2012 |
![]() The month opens with successive 3-1 defeats at Nantporth against Neath and then TNS. In both the pattern is the same, trailing 3-0 at half time and clawing one back after the interval but to no avail. Successive crowds of 700+ go home disgruntled. Is the new pitch too good? Too wide? A 4-0 win at Prestatyn followed by a further disappointing draw against visitors Llanelli leave title hopes dimmed but not extinguished. |

whilst goalkeeper Lee Idzi

points from four WP league fixtures. It begins with a home defeat to Neath, a draw at Llanelli, a loss at Park Hall and finally a 2-2 draw at Port Talbot. |
April 2011 |
The month ends with away wins at Llanelli and Neath and
culminates in an amazing win against TNS at Farrar Road in front of a
bumper crowd. A Peter Hoy long throw turned home by Craig Garside set
the party in motion and things really got going when the final whistle
blew. A first title in some fifteen years and one which establishes

October
2003 |
It doesnt get much
worse than losing at home to Glantraeth in
the Welsh Cup, but that was the outcome of a penalty shoot out which
left the visitors chanting "Championes" which actually made no sense,
but there you go. Things got even worse as a depleted side crashed 4-1 at Aberystwyth in the Premier Cup and then needed a late fightback (2 goals in inury time) to draw 3-3 with visitors Haverfordwest. A
new month kicks off with Alan Goodall saving a penalty
to earn a one all draw against visitors Caersws, likewise

training squad. City beat Connahs Quay at Farrar Road,
before the match Alan Goodall was presented with Suppoerts
Player
of The Season Award. The month closed with an undeserved 2-0 defeat at Rhyl who rode their luck & the assistance of arguably the worse ref in the system at Belle Vue. |
May
2004 |
The season finally
ends with a 4-1 win at Carmarthen who had avoided relegation,
goalscorers included Frank Mottram who netted his 98th WP goal
